Here’s a message from Miss Sophie who is bringing so much to KH.
Thank you parents who have been in touch regarding how much your children are learning and enjoying Miss Sophie’s classes. Our gorgeous Grade 2’s are already on to learn their dance after such a short time and via zoom on top of that !

Miss Sophie’s classes are true to our KH ethos in so many ways. ❤️

Miss Sophie here... another great week of PBT, Contemporary & RAD Ballet classes. Love seeing the students even if it’s on Zoom for now being dedicated to it and working hard during class.

In RAD Ballet classes we have been honing into technique with arm & hand placement along with syllabus exercises with students jotting down notes to progress the following week. Keep up the good work ! Places are still available in the RAD classes please get in touch.

More Breaking news

I’m sure you will all join me in congratulating Sophie Collier for gaining Distinction for her Advanced 1 RAD Ballet Examination.

I’m so thrilled for Sophie gaining such a wonderful result as she had to deal with Zoom classes, being in the studio, being out of the studio and to have to film her exam in the middle of November lockdown.

All allowed under strict rules and regulations as a vocational pupil.

Massive thanks to Miss Sophie for helping me with the technical side that comes with the filming.

Sophie stated “I’m so happy about my result especially with missing lots of dance practice due to covid. Thank you to Miss Angela for getting me ready and organising the exam, and Miss Sophie for filming it xx “

Brilliant news Sophie and so well deserved, I’m simply over the moon. Miss Angela. ❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Huge congratulations to Miss Sophie for her pupils excellent ballet exam results.

After her training at KH, Miss Sophie went on to The Royal Academy of Dance ( RAD) London to gain her teaching qualifications. Miss Sophie returned to KH afterwards and also teaches at three other dance schools, (2 are also run by former KH pupils.)

We are thrilled Sophie has taken over our RAD children’s exam classes together with the Progressing Ballet technique ( PBT) and contemporary dance classes.

Well done for your wonderful results especially during these difficult times Miss Sophie. 👏

Miss Sophie here - Thrilled with results for the filmed RAD Ballet examinations at Julie Hatton school Hatton Performing Arts in Scarborough. The Grade 2s in the photographs have all got distinctions with most of the year being Zoom online classes. To date the students I have entered for graded ballet exams under my name include x8 Distinctions and x3 high Merits. So proud of what the students can achieve during these uncertain times with their commitment & hard work every week. 💪🏼🩰🤩

Former pupil update - Caitlin Walker.

How lovely to hear what Caitlin is up to these days.

Caitlin is working on the island of Jeju South Korea at the international school. It is amazing where dance takes you.

She is at the International school (NLCS) on the graduate programme and is helping in the dance department working with 8-18 year olds.

She should have gone out in July but because of COVID everything was delayed until January. She is there until June initially and has the option of a further year. She got a first in her degree at Laban which is amazing.

Congratulations Caitlin from everyone at KH. Stay safe and Keeeeep dancing.
