Sunday morning smiles- As a Council of Dance education and Musical theatre ( CDMT) accredited school, I am very proud that we are amongst the very few ‘out of school settings’ who hold this prestigious accreditation, which is mainly held by top full time colleges and universities.

At KH we will continue to strive for the excellence in our teaching and values and to continue the ethos the late Miss Jennie Henry and myself started in 1989 when the then Kirkham school of Dancing became Kirkham Henry Performing Arts.
Miss Angela.

Sunday evening smiles- What a great smile for this evening- Huge congratulations to Millie one of our teaching assistants ( Miss Kyla’s oldest daughter) Here’s Millie with her brilliant news. ( Photo of Millie and as The Fairy in this years MNMT panto.)

Hi everyone! After gaining a Merit in my Level 3 Teaching Assistant course and taking a gap year, I’ve decided to head into the performing arts industry as that’s where my heart truly is. I have been lucky enough to gain two places - University of Chichester Conservatoire and Associated Studios London.

Making this decision is incredibly difficult as both places offer me amazing training and different skill sets that will help me in (hopefully) my future career. This upcoming week will be the most difficult in my decision making but I will update you all when my decision is made!
Millie.
We wish you the very best for your future 👏👏👏👏

Congratulations to former pupil Samantha Raine for receiving her long service medal with The Royal Ballet.

The Royal Opera House Chief Executive Alex Beard CBE gave a wonderful speech about Sam, starting with mentioning Kirkham Henry, going through her Royal Ballet School days, gaining a contract with The company at 17 year old and mentioning her outstanding work with Corps de Ballet now as Senior Répétiteur.

Miss Angela made the ceremony by the skin of her teeth due to unforeseen circumstances on the East Coast train line.

“It was a very emotional moment listening to Sam’s achievements spoken with sincerity, I know how proud her dad would have been.”
