Children's University works closely with all kinds of learning providers and activity leaders to offer children the widest variety of opportunities. In order to offer a consistent quality of activities they undertake a quality assurance process to validate these opportunities to confirm they meet certain standards.

There are so many reasons to get involved in Children’s University. The Education Endowment Foundation has Children’s University listed as a promising project; our focus on activities beyond the classroom is a great fit for Ofsted’s new focus on character development; and our digital platform.

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded further accreditation as A Makaton friendly school.

Miss Joanne head of our Makaton programme met this morning with an assessor and is very excited that we can continue with our good work as an inclusive school. Makaton Friendly is unique partnership programme which helps organisations and communities to improve accessibility for anyone living with learning or communication difficulties.

The scheme drives inclusivity to help create a fairer and more tolerant society for all. In becoming Makaton Friendly we help to increase accessibility across the UK for people living with learning and communication difficulties who might otherwise struggle to access your products and services.

There are many benefits of being a Makaton Friendly organisation: Being Makaton Friendly enables Makaton Users, their family, friends, and carers to feel confident in choosing our products and services broadening our appeal.
