Just a few of the things that happened in a busy February!

Dance for Parkinsons

What a truly fabulous class this morning with our Dance for Parkinson’s participants. One of them commented “How blessed we all are to have each other.” As Dr. Heseltine one of the consultants highly recommends the class to his patients we are getting more members and if anyone would like to volunteer to help and come along to Wigginton any Friday morning, do let us know. Here’s some of our wonderful dancers having fun creating movement in groups.

Lots happened in November - here's just a selection of stories

Children’s and Youth Choir

Thank you to our fabulous Children’s and Youth Choir seen here rehearsing all together for this evenings Malton Christmas lights switch on and at the event. Big thank you to Miss Nicky for organising everything and to our KH families for your support. Also Miss Kyla, Miss Joanne, Miss Angela and Mrs Wright for chaperoning. Here’s a message from Miss Nicky.
Miss Nicky here! I just wanted to say a massive thank you and well done to all our singers tonight. You were great and I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for all your hard work getting ready for the event. Also thank you to all my private singing lesson pupils for a great mini concert last night. So many of you stepped out of your comfort zone. It was very moving how you all
supported each other. Remember “if just one person believes in you...” I am super proud of you all!
Just some of the stories making the news at Kirkham Henry last month

Some of the stories making the news at Kirkham Henry in September
What a fantastic start to our second day of term.
Here’s our Baby Beats / Toddler tunes with our Musical Theatre-Golden Gliders. So brilliant that 97 year old Mary is still dancing in our new academic year.

Don’t worry all Baby/ Toddler parents, we realise there was a mix up with the start date. Hope to see the rest of you who have enrolled, next week.

She also won the overall Handicrafts sections. Congratulations Auntie Von so well deserved.
A review of news stories from Kirkham Henry in May
Message from former pupil Scott Garnham regardingThe Barricade Boys choir. We asked Scott if we could share this with our supporters especially as Mr. Martin is retiring this summer, he will have wonderful memories of a fantastic evening.

Hi Angela, I just wanted to get in touch and say a massive thank you to everyone at Kirkham Henry who made The Barricade Boys appearance so very special. It was obviously an incredible night for me and something I’ll cherish for a long time but every one of the boys plus our technical team and band commented on how brilliant Kirkham Henry were. Professional, disciplined, friendly and above all really talented!
Fantastic news from Olivia Roberts who is in her final year of Northern Ballet School
"Hi Olivia here to let you know that I have accepted a contract with Royal Caribbean International to join their vessel Navigatior of the seas, on the 12th August.

I fly out to start my rehearsals for the 15th June wich are in Miami for 6 weeks. Just waiting on my visas, very excited x"

Congratulations Olivia, well deserved, from all your KH family
Mothering Sunday- Miss Angela here. On this special day for many I’ve been pondering about our job as teachers.
Yesterday on our busiest day of the week nearly every teacher in KH had some kind of chat, pep talk or caring discussion.

Miss Kyla chatted to one class about being kind to each other after a Daddy had informed her of a child picking on his daughters.

Miss Rebecca dealt with a new disruptive child who is hell bent on breaking up friendships!

Miss Audrie organised buddies to help new pupils feel welcome.
Here's a message from Leo about his final preparation for Thursford Christmas Spectaculer, one of the biggest Christmas shows in the U.K.
Hello! We’re coming into our final week now here before we open! This job is truly incredible as it’s not everyday you get to sing with a 20+ piece orchestra and work amongst some of the most incredible singers and dancers in the country. Thursford really does live up to it’s name of being a ‘spectacular’.

There’s dancing penguins, a Wurlitzer Organ, a juggler, tap dancing and choral singers, and there is thousands of Christmas lights EVERYWHERE.
